Job Description

Overview

  • Provide financial support and analysis for Corporate Services departments, including Legal, HR, Business Development, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, financial operations, project cost tracking, and monthly close processes.
  • Collaborate with senior executive leadership on budget development, tracking, and presentation.
  • Prepare month-end close packages, including variance analysis and review of accruals, P&L, and balance sheets.
  • Support capitalization of projects and track costs against budgets, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Coordinate global capital allocation requests and analyze expenditures for facilities, film, and podcasting projects.
  • Assist in developing financial models and business cases for capital projects and investments.
  • Provide support during quarterly and annual audits and external reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support Corporate Services budgets, including operating and capital expenses, ensuring accurate forecasting and tracking.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and present budgets, tracking actual results versus forecasts.
  • Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset management.
  • Prepare month-end analysis packages and review financial statements for accuracy.
  • Ensure proper processing and closure of contracts, purchase orders, and invoices during month-end close.
  • Coordinate capital allocation requests and analyze expenditures for global projects.
  • Develop financial models and ROI analyses for capital investments and projects.
  • Support external reporting teams with ad-hoc requests for regulatory filings.
  • Partner with international finance teams to analyze monthly reporting packages and project expenditures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, account analysis, and month-end activities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • CPA certification and Big 4 accounting experience are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with music, media, or entertainment industries is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
