Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to the financial operations of a leading organization with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage accounting transactions and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Support the reconciliation of cash accounts and investment portfolios, maintaining detailed records.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, preparing journal entries and financial reports.
  • Participate in audits and ad hoc financial projects to enhance organizational performance.
  • Engage in hybrid work arrangements, combining remote and on-site collaboration.
  • Utilize advanced tools and systems to streamline accounting processes and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial integrity and operational success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reconcile cash accounts and investment portfolios monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare journal entries and manage month-end closing processes within established deadlines.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records and reports.
  • Support the US Open operations, including reconciliation of merchandise sales and auditing registers.
  • Assist with interim and year-end audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with investment record keepers to manage relationships and streamline processes.
  • Perform ad hoc projects to support professional tennis and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in all accounting activities.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and automated General Ledger systems like Lawson.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reconciliations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
  • Knowledge of investment portfolio management and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience in audit preparation and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
