Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise nursing staff and evaluate the quality of care provided to residents.
  • Coordinate with healthcare teams to establish and review care plans for residents.
  • Respond to emergencies and implement appropriate measures for resident safety.
  • Monitor and support restorative nursing care and rehabilitation efforts.
  • Facilitate team meetings and daily reports to ensure effective communication.
  • Oversee staff orientation and provide educational presentations to enhance skills.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • Current New York Registered Nurse License mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in nursing leadership roles.
  • ANCC Certification in Gerontological Nursing is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and healthcare software.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and nursing care standards.
