Staff Geospatial Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and optimize pipelines for imagery ingestion and spatial data handling.
• Develop QA workflows ensuring data accuracy and reproducibility.
• Integrate dataset lineage tracking with artifact stores for comprehensive management.
• Define SLAs for dataset freshness, availability, and quality standards.
• Drive architectural decisions to enhance geospatial systems infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure robust data infrastructure solutions.
• Support cross-functional initiatives to optimize geospatial data usability.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Geospatial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geospatial systems development.
• Proficiency in geospatial imagery pipelines, spatial indexing, and data normalization.
• Experience with dataset versioning, QA workflows, and artifact stores.
• Strong understanding of data reliability and usability principles.
• Ability to solve complex problems and maintain technical ownership.
• Comfortable working remotely with autonomy and clear communication skills.
