Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and organize patient charts and summary sheets for daily clinic operations with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain exam room readiness, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supply levels for optimal patient care.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, document their chief complaints, and record vital signs accurately in EMR systems.
- Assist medical providers in performing patient care tasks and clinical procedures as required.
- Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks to support patient diagnostics and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and enhanced patient experiences.
- Adhere to universal precautions and safety standards to maintain a secure clinical environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; 2 years desirable.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer literacy essential.
- Strong clinical skills, including experience in phlebotomy and patient care tasks.
- Effective communication skills and professionalism in patient interactions required.
- Bilingual capabilities preferred to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional Saturdays, as needed.
