Overview

  • Provide essential medical support to healthcare providers, ensuring seamless clinical operations and exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
  • Assist in preparing patient charts and maintaining accurate records to support efficient consultations and treatments.
  • Maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and adequate supplies for patient encounters.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain chief complaints, and document vital signs in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and universal precautions in all clinical activities.
  • Contribute to a supportive and professional healthcare environment, fostering patient trust and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and organize patient charts and summary sheets for daily clinic operations with precision and efficiency.
  • Maintain exam room readiness, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supply levels for optimal patient care.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, document their chief complaints, and record vital signs accurately in EMR systems.
  • Assist medical providers in performing patient care tasks and clinical procedures as required.
  • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks to support patient diagnostics and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and enhanced patient experiences.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and safety standards to maintain a secure clinical environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; 2 years desirable.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer literacy essential.
  • Strong clinical skills, including experience in phlebotomy and patient care tasks.
  • Effective communication skills and professionalism in patient interactions required.
  • Bilingual capabilities preferred to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional Saturdays, as needed.
