Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
- Perform patient assessments, diagnose health conditions, and develop care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments, including respiratory interventions and emergency procedures.
- Manage patient flow and reassign staff to meet clinic demands effectively.
- Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and self-care techniques.
- Document patient care activities and outcomes in compliance with clinic standards.
- Participate in inventory management and ensure availability of clinical supplies.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate communication and care coordination.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Current RN registration and BCLS certification in New York State.
- Minimum of one year of experience in ambulatory care, medical surgery, or ER settings.
- Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture and administer medications.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills essential for effective team leadership.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including typing and electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred for enhanced patient communication.
