Overview
- Provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to achieve patient health goals effectively.
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document care activities accurately.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and IV insertion with precision.
- Assist patients with therapeutic equipment usage and provide necessary education.
- Ensure a clean and organized patient care environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Support respiratory needs through treatments like aerosol therapy and suctioning.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring comfort and readiness.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and New York State nursing regulations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer medications safely and monitor patient reactions as per protocols.
- Perform clinical tasks such as vital sign measurement, specimen collection, and therapeutic procedures.
- Assist in patient preparation for medical tests and treatments, ensuring optimal care delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to execute patient care plans effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and clinical observations.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding therapeutic equipment and procedures.

Job Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in New York State.
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Proficiency in performing therapeutic procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and IV insertion.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and New York State nursing regulations.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail in patient care activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed by the clinic.
