Job Description

Overview

  • Lead design concept creation aligning with client business goals and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients on programming and workplace design analysis to address key project issues.
  • Coordinate design scope, budget, and schedule with project stakeholders.
  • Guide schematic design and development phases ensuring project alignment.
  • Participate actively in construction document processes and deliverables.
  • Mentor team members to develop cohesive design solutions and maintain project vision.
  • Engage in industry events and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote sustainable design practices and certifications where applicable.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead project teams in developing design concepts and material palettes.
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers during design handoff phases.
  • Organize tasks to meet design deliverables and schedules effectively.
  • Prepare and present design solutions aligning with budget and timeline.
  • Specify contract furniture and prepare related RFPs.
  • Utilize advanced modeling and visualization software for design execution.
  • Mentor junior staff in design development and professional growth.
  • Engage clients in the design process ensuring resolution of design elements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from accredited institutions.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience, with 5 years in workplace interiors.
  • Proficiency in Revit and advanced 3D modeling and visualization software.
  • Professional license required or within 18 months of hire.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Desire to engage in industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Sustainable design certifications such as LEED or WELL are preferred.
