Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to a dynamic family office environment, collaborating with senior leadership to manage accounting operations effectively.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting by reconciling transaction details from bank and brokerage accounts.
  • Monitor investment activities, including NAV statements, K-1s, and capital call notices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion while handling sensitive financial data.
  • Support payroll and benefits management processes alongside accounts payable operations.
  • Collaborate with CFO, Senior Controller, and external stakeholders for seamless financial operations.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects to address organizational needs and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reconcile financial transactions and balances from online banking and brokerage systems.
  • Track and record investment activities, ensuring accurate valuation updates.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Assist in payroll and benefits management, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including family members and professional advisors.
  • Prepare financial reports and documentation for senior management review.
  • Participate in special projects to improve financial processes and systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in financial reconciliation and investment tracking.
  • Experience with accounts payable and payroll management processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective collaboration skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
