Overview
- Join a dynamic financial team as a Fund Accountant, contributing to fund management and financial reporting in a collaborative environment.
- Assist in month-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
- Oversee fund administration and coordinate with external fund administrators for seamless operations.
- Engage in year-end audits, collaborating with external auditors for financial statement preparation.
- Provide financial reporting to internal management, external counterparties, and investors.
- Coordinate investor transactions, including subscriptions and redemptions, ensuring compliance with fund governing documents.
- Monitor expense budgets and accruals, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accuracy.
- Collaborate with senior management, corporate accounting, operations, analysts, and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare monthly closing packages to support fund NAV calculations, liaising with external fund administrators.
- Coordinate investor transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, and preparing month-end investor statements.
- Monitor and manage expense budgets, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
- Understand and discuss fund governing documents, including PPM, LLC agreements, and subscription documents.
- Collaborate with external auditors on agreed-upon procedures and annual audits.
- Work on process improvement projects to enhance accounting procedures and operational efficiency.
- Interact with senior management and various departments to ensure seamless operations and reporting.
- Provide accurate financial information and reporting to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and reliability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in fund accounting or financial services.
- Preferred 6 years of experience in accounting roles, demonstrating expertise in fund management.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, audit coordination, and fund administration processes.
- Strong knowledge of fund governing documents and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, balancing onsite and remote responsibilities.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
