Overview

  • Lead preconstruction initiatives for multifamily housing and mixed-use projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial parameters.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to optimize planning, design, and execution strategies for large-scale developments.
  • Provide expertise in budgeting, cost estimation, and scheduling to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Champion compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols during all preconstruction phases.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making processes, driving innovation and sustainability in construction practices.
  • Support the client’s vision by implementing cutting-edge methodologies and technologies in preconstruction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage comprehensive preconstruction activities, including feasibility studies, budgeting, and scheduling for multifamily housing projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to refine project designs and specifications effectively.
  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials and services.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing challenges and implementing solutions to maintain timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting project milestones and outcomes.
  • Lead negotiations with contractors and vendors to secure favorable terms and agreements.
  • Ensure alignment of preconstruction activities with organizational strategic objectives and operational standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in preconstruction or construction management; 10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation for multifamily housing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Ability to work on-site and travel as required for project needs.
