Job Description

Overview

  • Drive cross-functional drug discovery programs from early stages to candidate nomination and IND-enabling studies.
  • Manage multiple programs across sites, ensuring scientific alignment and integrated timelines.
  • Identify risks proactively, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain organized project documentation.
  • Collaborate with functional leads to ensure seamless execution and alignment across teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive program updates and governance materials for senior leadership review.
  • Contribute to the refinement of project management tools and processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, science-driven environment to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead cross-functional teams in biology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, toxicology, CMC, and translational sciences.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program timelines, monitoring progress against plans and budgets.
  • Define and track key milestones, ensuring timely completion of critical project phases.
  • Facilitate effective team meetings, documenting decisions and actionable items clearly.
  • Identify scientific and operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Prepare detailed program updates and governance materials for leadership alignment.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across internal teams and external collaborators.
  • Support the adoption of best practices to enhance project management efficiency across programs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–8 years of experience in biotech, pharma, or related industry.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with expertise in drug discovery processes.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and integrated program timelines effectively.
  • Proficiency in risk management, including escalation and mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and continuous improvement processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, science-driven environment with hybrid work flexibility.
