Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to a global investment firm's asset management team, focusing on commercial real estate credit strategies and portfolio performance.
  • Analyze financial performance of properties and portfolios, including bridge loans, CMBS loans, and other real estate credit investments.
  • Develop financial models and perform discounted cash flow, IRR, and NPV analyses using Excel and Argus.
  • Support loan administration activities, including construction draws, leasing costs, and reserve releases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across origination, legal, finance, securitization, and underwriting functions.
  • Prepare investor reporting materials and presentations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Coordinate with loan servicers and borrowers to ensure portfolio oversight and operational execution.
  • Gain exposure to the commercial real estate credit lifecycle and expand responsibilities as you develop within the role.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance of individual properties and portfolios.
  • Assist in reviewing property budgets, business plans, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Develop familiarity with leases, loan documentation, and legal agreements.
  • Build and maintain financial models for investment analysis and decision-making.
  • Support preparation of investor reporting materials and presentations.
  • Administer loan proceeds and manage construction draws, leasing costs, and reserves.
  • Aggregate and validate portfolio data for internal reporting and credit committee decisions.
  • Coordinate with loan servicers and borrowers to ensure operational execution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in commercial real estate or related fields.
  • Understanding of real estate fundamentals, commercial leases, and debt capital structures.
  • Experience with loan servicing or construction loan administration is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling using Microsoft Excel and Argus.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
