Job Description

Overview

  • Lead audit and assurance engagements for a variety of clients in the healthcare industry.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality financial services and consulting solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage audit engagements, including planning, staffing, and execution, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
  • Evaluate internal controls and prepare work programs and budgets for client engagements.
  • Review financial statements, management letters, and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Train and mentor team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance on professional development.
  • Monitor engagement budgets and communicate with principals regarding time and resource allocation.
  • Assist clients with entity selection, software implementation, and strategic financial planning.
  • Stay updated on legislative and professional changes, advising clients on implications and opportunities.
  • Participate in business development activities to expand client base and promote firm services.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA designation required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience in audit/assurance services.
  • Strong GAAP accounting background and understanding of cash basis tax accounting.
  • Experience in healthcare and continuing care communities preferred.
  • Knowledge of HUD, cost reporting, and GAGAS is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in accounting and auditing software; experience with single audits is a plus.
  • Excellent research, writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and supervise teams effectively, ensuring engagement success.
