Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in a clinic setting under physician supervision.
  • Utilize advanced clinical protocols to diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance healthcare delivery.
  • Provide education to patients and staff on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with state and national certification standards.
  • Contribute to the clinic's efficiency by optimizing patient flow and care processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work, x-rays, and EKGs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies following established protocols.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians on patient care plans and referrals.
  • Participate in clinic committees and contribute to policy development.
  • Educate patients and families on health management strategies.
  • Monitor and enhance patient care quality through self-assessment and training.

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Certifications in BLS and ACLS (if applicable for inpatient settings).
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication skills for patient and staff interactions.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting.
