Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the Accounts Payable operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in a dynamic, global environment.
  • Drive process enhancements and automation initiatives to streamline workflows and improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement global Accounts Payable policies, maintaining robust internal controls and consistency.
  • Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed team, fostering professional growth and a culture of excellence.
  • Establish strong vendor relationships to resolve disputes and optimize partnerships effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze Accounts Payable metrics, presenting actionable insights to senior management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in financial systems, driving enhancements and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee the complete Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with international tax regulations and accounting standards across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Lead system improvement initiatives within financial platforms to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Payroll functions to ensure compliant and efficient disbursement management globally.
  • Develop and mentor team members, setting performance goals and promoting best practices.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, resolving disputes effectively and ensuring service excellence.
  • Analyze and report on Accounts Payable metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements to management.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, particularly Workday Financials, with expertise in AP and Expenses modules.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and global tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Experience managing and motivating geographically dispersed teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills for interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience in financial services, technology, or similar industries.
