- Collaborate with attorneys to administer trusts, estates, and charitable foundations, providing accurate financial information as needed.
- Participate in audits of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain organized tax and accounting files, adhering to strict deadlines and ensuring precision in all records.
- Provide detailed estate and trust accountings for judicial and non-judicial settlements, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing fiduciary income tax returns and information returns for charitable organizations.
- Participate in federal and state audits, addressing queries and ensuring adherence to financial and tax standards.
- Organize and maintain tax and accounting files, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for ongoing and future reference.
- Prepare detailed accountings for estates and trusts, supporting judicial and non-judicial settlements effectively.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a fiduciary accountant in a law or public accounting firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized software such as ProSystems, Omega, and Number Cruncher.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of maintaining precise financial records.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Availability to work additional hours as needed, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Experience in preparing complex tax returns and managing audits with federal and state authorities.
- Familiarity with estate and trust administration, including financial record maintenance and tax compliance.
