Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, and employee recognition initiatives.
- Conduct background checks, employee eligibility verifications, and oversee new hire orientation processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Review and document compliance with mandatory training and continuing education requirements.
- Handle employment-related inquiries, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Assist with performance evaluations and oversee workflow of subordinate staff.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of HR management experience; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems is essential.
- Strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
