Overview

  • Lead accounting operations for a dynamic renewable energy platform, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and managing complex multi-entity consolidations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and support strategic organizational initiatives.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Manage accounting for tax equity funds, partnership structures, and renewable energy assets.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and technical accounting memos for non-routine transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with debt covenants, reporting requirements, and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and ERP optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee monthly close processes across multiple entities and tax equity funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Draft technical accounting memos for significant transactions and complex financial matters.
  • Manage capital account tracking, allocation calculations, and distribution waterfalls.
  • Ensure accurate accounting for renewable energy assets and investment tax credits.
  • Support external audits and coordinate with auditors on complex accounting issues.
  • Collaborate with project finance, asset management, tax, and legal teams to align financial strategies.
  • Drive process improvements and system automation initiatives to streamline operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure industries.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with tax equity structures.
  • Proficiency in partnership accounting and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage complex tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
