Overview

  • Lead HR operations for a major construction project, ensuring workforce engagement, compliance, and organizational alignment in a dynamic, field-based environment.
  • Deliver comprehensive HR services including employee relations, workforce planning, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and training coordination.
  • Collaborate with project leadership and corporate HR teams to address workforce needs and enhance employee experiences effectively.
  • Provide direct support to a diverse workforce, fostering inclusion, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence, engaging with employees and supervisors to promote collaboration and resolve workforce challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and organizational policies, contributing to operational excellence and legal adherence.
  • Coordinate training initiatives and collaborate with corporate training resources to support employee development.
  • Adapt to the dynamic demands of a seven-day operational project, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Partner with project leadership to deliver strategic HR support aligned with workforce objectives and organizational standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with field teams, supervisors, and craft laborers to support engagement and retention.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Conduct workforce planning, staffing coordination, and recruiting/onboarding of craft labor employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company practices, employment regulations, and project labor requirements.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and a safe, respectful work environment through proactive initiatives.
  • Coordinate training programs and collaborate with corporate training resources to enhance workforce skills.
  • Maintain flexibility to meet the demands of a high-paced, seven-day operational project environment.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR Manager experience, preferably in field-based or industrial environments.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workforce management.
  • Experience supporting craft or hourly labor populations and large-scale project sites preferred.
  • Proficiency in HR compliance requirements and operational processes.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote corporate teams effectively.
  • Comfortable living and working onsite in a remote project environment with provided housing and amenities.
  • Alignment with organizational standards of excellence and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
