Job Description

Overview

  • Administer and optimize Linux systems to ensure high availability and reliability across enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure and application performance.
  • Implement and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker technologies.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments, including provisioning and integration tasks.
  • Develop and maintain system configurations, operational documentation, and automation scripts.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure operational efficiency through proactive measures.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery systems to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for IT operations and processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Linux server environments to maintain optimal performance.
  • Administer lifecycle management and patching to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Optimize containerized workloads using orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
  • Collaborate with development teams for version control, integration, and deployment support.
  • Document operational processes, configurations, and maintain an updated knowledge base.
  • Ensure system availability and data integrity through robust backup and recovery solutions.
  • Integrate Linux systems with Windows infrastructure using tools like Samba and Active Directory.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing Linux systems in production environments.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and Python for automation tasks.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong communication and project management skills to coordinate with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with integrating Linux systems with Windows infrastructure.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in a dynamic environment.
