Job Description

Overview

  • Lead quality control efforts for energy efficiency construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Develop and enforce Quality Control Plans to guarantee project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with field supervision and subcontractors to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate field testing, QA/QC inspections, and material testing with third parties.
  • Prepare and manage QC reports, documentation, and daily inspection records.
  • Ensure adherence to energy conservation measures and project specifications.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and implementation of monitoring protocols.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Act as the on-site Quality Control Manager for energy efficiency projects.
  • Design and manage the Quality Control Plan to ensure project compliance.
  • Conduct inspections and oversee construction activities to meet contract standards.
  • Coordinate testing and verification activities with external parties.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for quality assurance purposes.
  • Implement energy conservation measures and monitor project outcomes.
  • Assist in project scheduling, estimation, and bid preparation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control management for construction projects.
  • Proficiency in construction disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems.
  • Experience with building energy systems such as HVAC and lighting.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in construction management.
  • Ability to obtain government security clearance for federal projects.
  • Preferred experience in energy systems projects and military base retrofits.
  • Completion of US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management course is advantageous.
