Overview
- Lead and manage the Operating Room department in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Collaborate with Clinical Coordinators to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
- Oversee a team of skilled professionals including RNs, CSTs, FAs, and OR Techs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, vision, and mission strategies.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the department and its personnel.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and implement improvements for enhanced care quality.
- Participate in budget planning and fiscal management for the unit.
- Work in a state-of-the-art facility recognized for excellence in healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise daily operations including scheduling and patient rounding.
- Assist in developing and assessing staff competencies and performance evaluations.
- Lead recruitment efforts and oversee personnel hiring processes.
- Implement disciplinary actions and provide counseling when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and nursing specialty guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain safe and quality healthcare systems.
- Support the Surgical Services Director in budgetary and strategic planning.
- Monitor and improve patient satisfaction through effective leadership and care delivery.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
- Active RN license in New Hampshire required.
- Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required.
- Previous management or leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations and patient care standards.
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance and specialty nursing standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
