Senior Devops Engineer

Overview

• Lead the design and deployment of scalable Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance and efficient lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP using Terraform and Terragrunt principles.
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Flux CD for seamless GitOps-driven deployments.
• Create Python-based automation tools to enhance infrastructure and platform operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in multi-cloud environments to ensure system reliability.
• Establish monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus and Grafana for proactive issue identification.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards, including classified environment protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective infrastructure solutions.
• Promote best practices in cloud-native technologies, infrastructure-as-code, and GitOps workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage Kubernetes cluster lifecycles, including upgrades, scaling, and performance optimization.
• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines to support reliable application deployments.
• Automate workflows to reduce operational overhead and improve efficiency.
• Implement and maintain observability systems for comprehensive monitoring and alerting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to architect scalable and cost-effective solutions.
• Resolve operational and infrastructure issues in multi-cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance requirements across all systems.
• Document processes and workflows to enhance organizational knowledge sharing.
• Support production services to ensure 24/7 operational reliability.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Active U.S. security clearance is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Flux CD.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and observability.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
