Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and post journal entries across various account areas, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Drive monthly close processes, ensuring all tasks are completed within deadlines.
- Review and process vendor invoices, maintaining proper coding and approval workflows.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, tracking billing milestones and collections.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate monthly depreciation entries.
- Assist with tax filings, audit preparations, and compliance documentation.
- Support payroll reconciliation and employee benefits accrual calculations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and accrual-basis accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with major accounting systems like NetSuite or QuickBooks.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data manipulation.
- CPA license or active pursuit of licensure preferred.
- Experience in high-growth startup or SaaS environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting.
