Overview

  • Lead construction projects for a general contractor with a diverse portfolio including commercial, retail, education, and multi-family developments.
  • Ensure project completion within budget, timeline, and quality standards while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain seamless communication and project progress.
  • Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to on-site teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Monitor and manage resources, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality compliance.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting milestones and addressing challenges.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily on-site operations and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts for accurate implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations at all project stages.
  • Track project progress and address delays or issues promptly to maintain schedules.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and manage inventory to prevent shortages or excess.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of on-site teams, providing guidance and support as needed.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications in construction management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision; 10 years preferred.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Experience with resource allocation, scheduling, and project management tools.
  • Ability to work on-site and adapt to dynamic construction environments.
