Job Description

Overview

  • Lead operational management of an ambulatory surgery center, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and report directly to the CEO and Governing Body.
  • Oversee clinical and administrative operations, driving performance and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, including DOH and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight to optimize center operations.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and materials management for operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care services.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with physicians and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily operations, including clinical and administrative functions, to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Lead staff management, driving team performance and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining accreditation.
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, payroll, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Manage vendor contracts and supply chain operations to maintain cost-effective practices.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on quality assurance, risk management, and infection control initiatives.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure operational excellence and patient satisfaction.
  • Support strategic planning and execution of organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of healthcare administration experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in ambulatory surgery center operations and outpatient care management.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving performance.
  • Knowledge of materials management, payroll processes, and financial oversight.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, including DOH and Joint Commission.
  • Experience in risk management, infection control, and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and executive leadership.
