Job Description

Overview

  • Lead operations of a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and report directly to the CEO and Governing Body.
  • Drive team performance and oversee clinical and administrative functions effectively.
  • Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight for the facility.
  • Ensure quality control measures and continuous education for patient care improvement.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and oversee materials management and supply chain operations.
  • Foster a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff within the facility.
  • Coordinate risk management and infection control initiatives alongside medical personnel.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations, including clinical and administrative functions, ensuring smooth workflows.
  • Manage staff performance and development, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including DOH and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Prepare and administer budgets, allocating funds effectively based on operational needs.
  • Evaluate and approve contracts for services and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on quality, risk, and infection control measures.
  • Maintain effective quality control measures and continuous education programs for patient care improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO to support organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of healthcare administration experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in ambulatory surgery center operations and outpatient healthcare settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving performance.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial oversight, and revenue cycle management.
  • Familiarity with materials management, supply chain operations, and vendor relations.
  • Understanding of risk management and infection control practices in healthcare settings.
  • Comfortable working closely with physicians and senior leadership to achieve organizational goals.
