Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive medical oversight and care for individuals supported by the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and individual healthcare needs.
  • Collaborate with program planning teams to address medical-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Advocate for individuals during medical appointments and treatments.
  • Conduct regular visits to individuals during hospitalizations or rehab admissions.
  • Provide coverage for other sites as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in audits and conferences representing the organization professionally.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Schedule and oversee medical appointments based on individual needs.
  • Ensure proper administration of medications, treatments, and prescribed diets.
  • Review and document findings from medical visits and procedures.
  • Maintain mandated medical records and ensure timely updates.
  • Participate in program planning and goal development for healthcare needs.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Provide advocacy and support during medical care and appointments.
  • Ensure adequate supply and management of medications for individuals.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience required.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in healthcare or related fields.
  • Proficient in medical record keeping and documentation practices.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory healthcare requirements.
  • Ability to work on-site and provide coverage across multiple locations.
