Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the surgical services department, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Develop and implement nursing care programs to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or compact state.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in surgical settings.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in healthcare, preferably in surgical services.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management systems and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and compliance practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and mentor teams effectively.
  • Ability to analyze and manage budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial stewardship.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
