Job Description

Overview

  • Lead radiology services at a large academic medical center with Level I Trauma designation.
  • Oversee diagnostic and therapeutic imaging operations in a high-acuity, high-volume environment.
  • Drive operational excellence across CT, MRI, IR, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Oncology services.
  • Collaborate with physicians in an academic setting to ensure service alignment and credibility.
  • Focus on optimizing throughput, turnaround times, and technology workflows.
  • Enhance staffing stability and engagement within the radiology department.
  • Shape integrated imaging and oncology strategies for long-term service improvement.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of imaging platforms and oncology workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership for diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize PACS/RIS and oncology systems.
  • Strengthen physician relationships and foster collaboration in an academic environment.
  • Address staffing challenges and enhance team engagement within radiology services.
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in oncology workflows.
  • Monitor and improve throughput and turnaround times for imaging services.
  • Lead initiatives to stabilize and elevate imaging and oncology service lines.
  • Partner with cancer program leadership to align service objectives and strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in acute care imaging leadership.
  • Preferred 6 years of experience in Level I/II Trauma or academic centers.
  • Strong operational leadership across multiple imaging modalities.
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems and oncology workflows.
  • Ability to partner closely with physicians and cancer program leadership.
  • Expertise in regulatory standards and compliance within radiation oncology.
  • Proven ability to stabilize and elevate imaging service lines in high-acuity environments.
