Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to support prototyping, manufacturing, and production operations. This role is ideal for a technically proficient, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines to produce precision components 
  • Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for both prototype and production runs 
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), to ensure parts meet exact specifications 
  • Perform tool changes, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain optimal machine performance 
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) and document quality results 
  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and optimize cycle times 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards and lean manufacturing principles 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC machining certification, apprenticeship, or vocational training preferred 
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes 
  • Strong proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) 
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T standards 
  • Experience using precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) 
  • Proficiency with manual shop equipment (manual mill, engine lathe, drill press, bandsaw, etc.) 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience working in prototype or low-volume, high-mix production environments 
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
