Job Description
Overview
- Provide specialized physical therapy services to students aged 6-20 with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Evaluate students and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to their needs and classroom routines.
- Utilize strategies like exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices to enhance physical function and participation.
- Collaborate with caregivers and staff to ensure alignment of therapy plans across environments.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and other required data accurately.
- Work on-site in a structured environment with flexible hours Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assess students using standardized tests, clinical observations, and medical/educational records.
- Develop and implement therapy programs addressing musculoskeletal and neuromuscular impairments.
- Provide consultation and training to staff for therapeutic strategy implementation.
- Collaborate with caregivers to ensure therapy consistency across home and school settings.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology to support student needs.
- Maintain clinical and administrative records in compliance with program requirements.
- Perform additional duties as required to support student development and participation.
Job Requirements
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in developing therapy plans and documenting progress reports.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with caregivers and educational staff.
- Experience recommending and supporting adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and compliance.
- Flexibility to work on-site and adapt to student census needs.
