Job Description

Overview

  • Lead SEC reporting and compliance efforts within the Corporate Finance team.
  • Ensure accurate financial statement preparation and adherence to U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Oversee SOX internal control program operations and compliance monitoring.
  • Conduct accounting policy research and prepare documentation for complex transactions.
  • Collaborate with auditors and consultants to ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Provide technical guidance on new accounting standards and regulations.
  • Present SOX program status and financial reports to senior management.
  • Support financial due diligence for acquisition targets and related tax evaluations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in compliance with SEC standards.
  • Maintain financial reporting schedules and oversee consolidations and eliminations.
  • Coordinate annual audits with external audit firms and ensure compliance.
  • Document and update SOX process flowcharts and risk control matrices.
  • Monitor firm-wide compliance with SOX controls using FloQast software.
  • Research and document accounting policies for complex transactions and acquisitions.
  • Liaise with auditors to determine appropriate accounting guidance and treatment.
  • Evaluate tax implications of transactions and collaborate with tax experts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in SEC reporting and compliance.
  • Preferred 12 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting.
  • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • Experience with SOX internal controls and FloQast software.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex transactions and tax impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting reports to senior management.
  • Ability to lead financial due diligence for acquisitions.
