Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in alignment with healthcare standards and organizational goals.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions, including outpatient management of HIV disease.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and medical records.
  • Participate in medical staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing medical education activities.
  • Supervise and mentor paramedical personnel to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to infection control measures and organizational policies to ensure patient and staff safety.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide preventive care services and health education to patients to promote wellness.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care.
  • Participate in peer review and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Support organizational initiatives and contribute to the achievement of strategic goals.
  • Provide mentorship and training to healthcare staff to foster professional growth.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Active medical licensure in the State of New York with current registration.
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive clinical experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Ability to manage a patient caseload while maintaining high standards of care.
