Overview
- Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in alignment with organizational goals and mission.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions, including outpatient management of HIV disease.
- Maintain a patient caseload ensuring adherence to quality care and productivity standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to address patient health needs effectively.
- Participate in medical staff meetings, conferences, and continuing education activities to maintain professional competence.
- Supervise paramedical personnel and assist in their training and development.
- Ensure compliance with infection control measures and organizational policies.
- Complete necessary documentation, including medical records, forms, and regulatory paperwork.
- Engage in quality improvement activities, including peer review and chart audits.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Examine, diagnose, and treat medical illnesses in an office practice setting.
- Evaluate patient health status and initiate therapeutic and preventive measures.
- Make referrals to specialty and consultative medical services as necessary.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and staff regarding patient care plans.
- Attend and contribute to medical staff meetings and conferences.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring paramedical personnel.

Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Osteopathic Medicine Residency Program.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Active licensure to practice medicine in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive work experience in a related field.
- Strong commitment to patient care and quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with healthcare providers and staff.
- Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload effectively.
- Familiarity with infection control measures and OSHA standards.
