Job Description

Overview

  • Provide administrative support to the Labor and Employee Relations team, ensuring efficient operations and effective communication.
  • Handle confidential documentation and records, maintaining accuracy and security in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Coordinate logistics for labor-management meetings, grievance sessions, and committee gatherings.
  • Participate in confidential meetings as a scribe, drafting precise and professional notes.
  • Compile data and generate reports on employee relations metrics to support decision-making processes.
  • Edit and review sensitive documents with a high level of accuracy and proficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and courteous interactions.
  • Adapt to new technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings for the Labor and Employee Relations team.
  • Maintain and update confidential labor department files, ensuring secure storage and accessibility.
  • Arrange logistics for labor-management meetings, including booking rooms and preparing materials.
  • Draft accurate notes during workplace investigations, counseling sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Compile data and generate monthly reports on employee relations metrics.
  • Edit and review confidential documents, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders professionally, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Labor and Employee Relations team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related field preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with HR practices, union contracts, or basic labor laws preferred.
  • Experience in Human Resources or legal environments is advantageous.
