Job Description

Overview

  • Manage accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to oversee fund operations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for investor reporting.
  • Ensure timely completion of audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures tailored to fund requirements.
  • Provide insights on fund performance and assist in investment evaluations.
  • Contribute to the optimization of accounting systems and processes for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee fund accounting operations, including reconciliations, allocations, and distributions.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with investment teams to provide accurate financial data for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings for funds.
  • Monitor cash flows and manage liquidity to meet fund obligations.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems to streamline operations and reporting.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on fund accounting practices and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3-6 years of experience in fund accounting, private equity, or credit environments.
  • CPA certification preferred, with a strong understanding of public/private accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience working without an administrator is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for financial data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
