Job Description

Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Produce electrical design documents, including floor plans, load calculations, and voltage prep calculations.
  • Perform computations and analysis for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Utilize Revit software for project design, construction documents, and visual aids.
  • Review and write project specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports of findings.
  • Interact directly with clients, addressing inquiries and providing technical support.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs to ensure project progression.
  • Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage personal hours and data reporting using company tools effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer License preferred in NJ, NC, FL, and/or PA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code, NFPA codes, and energy standards.
  • Experience in designing low/medium voltage systems, power distribution, and lighting systems.
  • Ability to perform load calculations and select appropriate electrical equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
