Burn Care Services Nurse Manager

Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Mentor and lead nursing staff, fostering professional development and engagement within the unit.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and efficient patient flow.
• Monitor infection control practices and patient outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
• Address patient and family concerns, providing education and coordinated follow-up care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety protocols.
• Optimize staffing efficiency and operational workflows to enhance resource utilization.
• Support community outreach and education programs to promote burn care awareness.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Current RN license with certifications in BLS and ACLS; PALS and ABLS preferred.
• 5–7 years of clinical experience in burn or critical care specialties.
• 2–3 years of leadership experience in healthcare settings.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and financial management principles.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory standards in burn care.
