Overview

  • The Junior Accountant will support financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with senior accounting staff to manage accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in preparing and recording journal entries, ensuring timely and precise documentation.
  • Contribute to monthly closings, account analyses, and special projects as needed.
  • Maintain accounting files and support audits by preparing necessary materials.
  • Work on-site daily, contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ideal for recent graduates with 1-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Exposure to residual smoke may occur in the office setting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Reconcile retail store sales, cash receipts, and bank deposits.
  • Manage credit card and PayPal transactions, resolving disputes promptly.
  • Assist with state and local tax filings, ensuring compliance.
  • Support financial audits by coordinating and preparing materials.
  • Perform monthly closing duties and account analyses.
  • Assist in reviewing expense reports and processing payments.
  • Contribute to inventory management during mid-year and year-end assessments.
  • Provide support for special projects and other assigned duties.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience, preferably with ERP systems like Dynamics AX or D365.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent time management abilities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Superior communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively under tight deadlines.
