Job Description

Overview

  • Support website maintenance, optimization, and editorial quality while ensuring content accessibility, SEO-friendliness, and compliance with brand and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies on website enhancements and initiatives to improve user experience and functionality.
  • Ensure website content is current, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals and usability principles.
  • Monitor and resolve technical errors, broken links, and formatting issues to maintain website performance.
  • Employ SEO best practices to optimize content visibility and performance across search engines.
  • Maintain compliance with ADA accessibility guidelines and WCAG standards for inclusive user experiences.
  • Support email content migration and QA processes for marketing communications platform transitions.
  • Document updates, enhancements, and fixes in the website change log for transparency and traceability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Update and maintain website content, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Test website updates and new features prior to deployment to ensure functionality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, developers, and marketing teams to manage updates and priorities.
  • Optimize content for SEO performance and monitor site health for technical issues.
  • Implement updates to maintain ADA accessibility and WCAG compliance standards.
  • Support the migration of email content to new platforms and ensure formatting consistency.
  • Coordinate testing and deployment of migrated email communications with internal stakeholders.
  • Document and manage the website change log for updates, fixes, and release dates.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in web editing or SEO preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a web editor, digital editor, or content specialist.
  • Proficiency in content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, or Kentico.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills for web content.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and testing website updates.
  • Familiarity with UX principles and information architecture best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools and performance monitoring is advantageous.
