Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain and update fixed asset accounting records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Analyze and record financial transactions related to fixed assets, including acquisitions and disposals.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to oversee capital projects and assess asset retirement obligations.
  • Prepare detailed regulatory reports and ensure adherence to accounting principles and procedures.
  • Perform account reconciliations and contribute to special projects aimed at improving financial operations.
  • Utilize advanced financial applications for efficient accounting and reporting tasks.
  • Support budgeting processes and ensure compliance with SOX reporting requirements.
  • Provide analytical insights and foster collaboration within the accounting team to achieve organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fixed asset accounting; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial applications such as PeopleSoft Financials or Oracle Fusion.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Preferred certifications include CPA or advanced degrees like MBA or MS in Accounting.
  • Experience with SOX compliance reporting and budgeting processes is highly valued.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
