Job Description

Overview

  • Support accounting processes and month-end close activities in a hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate on finance projects and ensure accurate financial reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Utilize SAP expertise to assist in system implementation and ongoing project support.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to prepare financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Contribute to ad hoc requests and deliverables as required by the finance department.
  • Engage in a dynamic team environment while maintaining high standards of communication.
  • Perform duties under the guidance of the Vice President Finance of Americas.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and process journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and fixed asset analysis.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate ledger maintenance.
  • Support SAP S/4 implementation and related finance projects.
  • Prepare financial reports, including aged payables and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist in technical accounting and external reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to address ad hoc requests efficiently.
  • Maintain effective communication and presentation skills within the team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP, SAP, and financial reporting systems.
  • Experience with IFRS16 and fixed asset management is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage complex data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a multinational or retail environment is beneficial.
