Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Coordinate referrals to specialists and manage follow-up communications.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms, vision screenings, and urine dipstick tests.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations and document medical histories.
- Collect and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Monitor patient flow and address any issues related to registration or clinical services.
- Participate in outreach campaigns to improve health outcomes and close care gaps.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or eligibility for national certification exam.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care setting; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems within 3 months of training.
- Strong understanding of basic medical terminology and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to perform diagnostic tests and document patient information accurately.
