Job Description

Overview

  • Lead strategic operations for a renewable energy portfolio, ensuring efficient project execution and long-term asset value optimization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement business plans and achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee construction, operations, and asset management for utility-scale solar projects.
  • Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all operational activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget, meeting financial and technical objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies for asset management and value optimization.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and external contractors to achieve operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the global transition to net-zero through innovative renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare pre-NTP projects for investment approval, tendering, and financial closure.
  • Manage construction budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Oversee third-party contractors for operations and asset management activities.
  • Develop and maintain commercial cost strategies with external partners.
  • Track performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all projects.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors on long-term asset management strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align operational activities with organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in utility-scale solar project operations and construction.
  • Proven track record of improving operational performance and financial outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and contractors.
  • Ability to develop and execute asset management strategies effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Financial literacy and ability to work closely with executive teams on business planning.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
