Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting operations for a complex structure of 300+ entities in a dynamic family office environment.
  • Apply expertise in partnership accounting to manage private equity, real estate, and other investments.
  • Collaborate with internal tax teams and external fund managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Enhance accounting policies, procedures, and controls to streamline operations.
  • Mentor and support accounting staff, fostering professional growth and technical proficiency.
  • Contribute to special projects, entity structuring, and ad hoc reporting initiatives.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment with significant investment activity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee and review financial records for partnerships, operating companies, and trusts.
  • Ensure technical accuracy in accounting workpapers for tax return preparation.
  • Coordinate with fund managers and administrators to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Apply accounting expertise to complex transactions and investment structures.
  • Act as a liaison between accounting and tax teams to ensure compliance.
  • Train and mentor staff, addressing technical accounting queries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and consistency.
  • Assist with special projects and reporting requests as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Expertise in partnership accounting and multi-entity structures.
  • Experience in family office, private equity, real estate, or public accounting settings.
  • Proven ability to review workpapers and coordinate with tax professionals.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and growing office environment.
  • Preferred experience with Archway and managing accounting for 100+ entities.
