Overview

  • Lead operations of a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center with advanced equipment and diverse specialty services.
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and governing boards to ensure smooth facility operations and quality patient care.
  • Drive compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring safety and operational excellence.
  • Manage financial performance, operational risks, and budget planning to achieve sustainable growth.
  • Support physician relationships, credentialing processes, and service line development initiatives.
  • Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and employee performance management to maintain high-quality operations.
  • Participate in operational reviews and performance reporting to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to infection control, quality improvement, and patient experience enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily administrative, clinical support, and business functions of the surgery center.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between governing boards, medical staff, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, quality, and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets effectively.
  • Monitor financial performance and address operational risks proactively.
  • Support physician relationships, credentialing processes, and medical staff coordination.
  • Manage vendor, service, and physician contracts to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Lead quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for service line development and operational enhancements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a preference for healthcare or business administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ASC or hospital surgical leadership roles.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in ambulatory surgery center administration or similar roles.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, financial performance, and operational risks effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards in healthcare.
  • Experience in physician relationship management and credentialing processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in workforce planning and employee performance management.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a focus on operational improvement and service line development.
