Overview

  • Lead maintenance operations for a residential facility, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and housekeepers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee repair and construction projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Manage building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and security systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair and renovation projects.
  • Maintain inventory control for maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the facility, promoting a safe environment for residents.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Inspect the facility regularly to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Perform or delegate repairs for building fixtures and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement training plans for staff to enhance skills and efficiency.
  • Coordinate garbage disposal, snow removal, and landscaping maintenance.
  • Plan and oversee renovation and repair projects, managing budgets and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory levels.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 10 years of construction and repair experience, including electrical and plumbing.
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Knowledge of residential treatment facility maintenance is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in managing maintenance supplies and inventory control.
  • Ability to coordinate with external contractors for specialized projects.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
