Overview

  • Lead cost accounting processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and optimize cost management strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of financial forecasts and budgets, supporting organizational goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all accounting activities.
  • Utilize advanced accounting software to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Support audits and reviews, preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Analyze production costs and variances, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and valuation, ensuring alignment with financial records.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to optimize cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures to enhance accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in advanced accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights.
  • Preferred certifications such as CPA or CMA are advantageous.
